May 25 – Monday             Day of arrival in Sofia.

 

8:00 – 20:00              Arrival of the National Commissioners, the jurors for competitive class “Literature”, the Jury Secretary and the FEPA Coordinator. Check-in at hotel “Rodina”.

 

11:00 – 12:00             Press conference for the European Philatelic Exhibition BULGARIA 2009.

 

 

 

May 26 – Tuesday             Day of arrival in Sofia

 

8:00 – 13:00               Arrival of the FIP President, the FEPA President, the Jury Members and the Experts.

 

9:00 – 13:00               Check-in at hotel “Rodina”.

 

14:00 – 19:00             Work of the jurors of the exhibits in class “Literature”.

 

19:30 – 21:00             A “Welcomes” cocktail for the gests in hotel “Rodina”.

 

 

 

May 27 – Wednesday      Day of the European Philatelic Exhibition “BULGARIA 2009”

 

9:00 – 10:00              First meeting of the International Jury.

 

11:00 – 12:00             Opening of the International Philatelic Exhibition “BULGARIA 2009”.

                                       (National Palace of Culture).

 

12:00 – 13:00             Cocktail on the occasion of opening “BULGARIA 2009”.

 

13:30 – 14:00             Picture of the Commissioners and the Jury Members.

 

14:00 – 19:00             Second meeting of the International Jury.

 

14:00 – 16:00             First meeting of the Commissioners.

 

 

 

May 28 – Thursday          Day of Bulgaria’s Postal Communications.

 

9:00 – 13:00              Work session of the Jury.

 

10:00 – 12:00            Meeting of the Commissioners.

 

13:00 – 14:00             Lunch for the International Jury.

 

14:00 – 18:00            Work session of the International Jury.

 

17:00  - 18:00             Seminar for Maximaphily – lecturer.

                                       (Mr. Nikos Rangos (Cyprus), President of the FIP Maximaphily Committee).

 

19:00 – 20:30            International meeting of the Maximaphilyst.

                                       (Philatelic club – Sofia).

 

 

 

May 29 – Friday                 Day of Youth, Sports and Hobby

 

9:00 – 13:00              Work session of the Commissioners.

 

10:00 – 12:00            International seminar “Astrophilately”.

                                       (Lecturer – Mr. Miri Matejka (Austria), FIP Secretary of Commission for Astrophilately. Meetings with cosmonauts and autographs given).

            

12:30 – 13:30             Celebration for the 20th Anniversary of the European Philatelic Federation (FEPA) and cocktail.

 

14:00 – 19:00             Last meeting of the Jury.

 

20:00 – 22:00           Diner for the gests from abroad, given by The Chief Director of “Bulgarian Posts” Ltd.

 

 

 

May 30 – Saturday           Day of Sofia

 

8:00 – 17:00              Excursion for the gests to “Rila Monastery” and lunch.

 

10:00 – 12:00            Session of the UBF Philatelic Academy, with participation of Mr. Antony Virvilis – Chairman of the FIP Commission for Philatelic Literature – and the European Philatelic Academy Members.

 

19:00 -22:00               Palmares – announcement of the results and awarding the exhibitors.

 

 

 

May 31 – Sunday              Day of Environmental Protection

 

10:00 – 12:00            Meeting of the Jury members with the exhibitors.

 

14:00                             Closure of the European Philatelic Exhibition “BULGARIA 2009”.

 

15:00 – 22:00            Dismantling of the exhibition.

Working hours of the exhibition: from May 28th to May 30th including  10:00 – 18:30.
