EUROPEAN PHILATELIC EXHIBITION

 

BULGARIA’ 2009

Dates: May 27th to 31st 2009 (Wednesday –  Sunday)

 

Venue: Sofia, National Palace of Culture

 

Honorable patronage: His Excellency the President of the Republic Bulgaria, Mr. GEORGI PARVANOV

 

Patronage: Federation of European Philatelic Association (F.E.P.A)

 

Recognition: International Federation of Philately (F.I.P)

 

Organizers: Ministry of Transport, State Agency for Information Technologies and Communications, Bulgarian Posts Plc., Union of the Bulgarian Philatelists and Sofia Municipality.

 

Co-operation: Ministry of Culture, Ministry of Education and Science, State Agency for Youth and Sports, National Palace of Culture.

Chairman of the Organizing Committee: Mr. PETAR MUTAFCHIEV, Minister of Transport

 

Technical data of the Exhibition:

Area – about 3000 m2

1000 – 1200 exhibition frames for the exhibits for the participating philatelists from the Philatelic Unions and Associations, members of the Federation of European Philatelic Association (F.E.P.A).

 

Competitive classes: All competitive classes in conformity with the FIP Exhibition Regulations.

 

Non-competitive classes:

honorable class for invited exhibits from world famous persons, philatelists, Post Administrations and museums;

experimental “One-Frame class”

encouraging “Open class”

 

Jury and Awards: in conformity with the FIP Exhibition Regulations.

 

Participation fees: 25 euro for one exhibition frame (16 exhibition sheets).

 

Social program: thematic seminars, competitions, international market/ exchange, discussions, philatelic infant-school, philatelic school, exhibition “History of Bulgarian Posts, exhibition “Hobby and free time”, as well as other events – mainly for kids and students.

 

Post-Philatelic program:

issuing special thematic post-philatelic products for BULGARIA’2009: post stamps, blocks, carnets, envelopes, carte-maximum, special stamps – according to the State Agency for Information Technologies and Communications yearly plans for issuing post stamps.
